As soon as the first run of Stephen McNeff`s new opera was over, Cantabile and the rest of the cast got into the studio to capture the freshness of this new production, warts and all, and while, as the composer`s sleeve note, reminds us, `Passions` was still developing`. We may have thought of this as a record of work in progress, but it has already been heard on Radio 3. Many a Song shall Poet make.
